The Horn Dogs make up the impressive brass section of Neil’s band. Introduced in 2007/08 they have added some depth to Neil’s sound, as Neil himself stated and are a fabulous group of guys.
The Horn Dogs are namely: Don Markese, Art Valasco, Dan Fornero and Larry Klimas.
In the full swing of a concert, these guys love to dance and can be seen rolling out the moves as they toot their particular instruments. I don’t have much information about their previous musical background but would guess that they were predominantly session musicians before getting the call to join the
Neil Diamond Band.
As a fan of Neil, I believe these guys have added a whole new dimension to the band. The haunting Saxophone solo on Love On The Rocks by Larry Klimas gives the song a new lease of life. They are a fabulous addition to the band.
